
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday emphasized the significance of health in achieving the vision of a developed India. Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Arogya Dham super speciality hospital, Chouhan called for active public participation in the mission to build a healthier nation. He highlighted the Narendra Modi-led government’s dedicated efforts towards improving healthcare infrastructure.
The upcoming 500-bed Arogya Dham hospital, being developed by the RSS-backed Tarankear Smriti Trust at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore, aims to provide advanced medical facilities. The event also saw the presence of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Tomar, and senior RSS leader of Madhya Bharat, Hemant Muktibodh.
Addressing the gathering, Chouhan stated, “A strong and healthy India is essential for the progress of the nation. This hospital will serve as a milestone in healthcare and inspire future projects.”
Union Minister Scindia highlighted the historic significance of the hospital’s location, noting that his late father, Madhavrao Scindia, had envisioned a national-level healthcare facility at the site. He expressed pride that the long-standing vision was finally becoming a reality, emphasizing that a nation fostering a well-educated and healthy population is bound for unstoppable growth.
“Arogya Dham is a hospital dedicated to human welfare and service. It will offer high-quality yet affordable healthcare not only to the Gwalior-Chambal region but also to nearby districts in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan,” Scindia added.
Speaker Tomar acknowledged the consistent efforts of the central and state governments in enhancing healthcare services. He underscored the need for support from social organizations and volunteers in ensuring widespread access to quality medical care.
“The Arogya Dham initiative aligns with this vision, making advanced healthcare more accessible to the masses,” he remarked.
According to trust representatives, the hospital will be constructed in the Gole Ka Mandir area of Gwalior, covering an expansive 200,000 square feet. Once completed, it is expected to significantly boost the medical infrastructure in the region, offering state-of-the-art treatment facilities to patients from multiple states.
