Reliance Jio, under the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, is reportedly making preparations to launch its highly anticipated Jio Phone 5G, also known as the Ganga 5G smartphone, before the end of this year.
Industry insiders speculate that the company aims to coincide the release with the festival of Diwali, following a strategy similar to the launch of its predecessor, the Jio Phone 1. Although Reliance Jio has yet to issue an official statement confirming the launch, leaked information suggests that it might occur during the festive period of Ganesh Chaturthi or the New Year.
According to various sources, the Jio Phone 5G is expected to bring numerous upgraded features compared to its predecessor, positioning itself as the most affordable 5G smartphone in India. In a bid to provide convenience to customers, Reliance Jio is likely to offer the option of purchasing the phone through Equated Monthly Installments (EMI).
Renowned tipster Abhishek Yadav reveals that the smartphone is expected to boast enhanced hardware quality and could potentially be priced below Rs10,000 (approximately $135). Speculations circulate that it may fall within the budget-friendly price range of Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000 or Rs 8,000.
As for the design, reports suggest that the Jio Phone 5G will be available in a sleek Dark Blue color, with additional options of Blue and Black. The rear of the smartphone is rumored to feature a dual camera setup, elegantly designed in a capsule format.
The primary camera is anticipated to be a 13-megapixel lens equipped with advanced AI capabilities. To cater to the growing demand for capturing selfies and engaging in video calls, the phone is expected to include a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
