Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, asserted that India is on the “highway” to becoming a Vishwaguru (world leader) during a function in Mumbai on Monday. He was speaking at the Antar Yog Gurukul, led by spiritual master Acharya Upendraji, where he also launched the book Guru Gita With Commentary, compiled by Acharya Upendraji.
Gadkari highlighted India’s potential to lead the world through its deep-rooted wisdom, culture, and spirituality. “Apart from Yoga, our biggest export to the world should be the concept of world peace,” he stated. He emphasized that India’s traditional values, when combined with scientific advancements, can contribute significantly to global harmony. “The world is recognizing our way of life, and there is a need to integrate scientific knowledge with spiritual awakening,” he added.
Acharya Upendraji, in his address, underscored the importance of unity between different pillars of national strength. He stated that India could emerge as a Vishwaguru if the economy, armed forces, and spiritual entities worked in unison. Additionally, he urged Gadkari to consider building “spiritual highways” alongside physical infrastructure. “You are renowned for constructing highways and developing infrastructure; we must also focus on investing in spiritual well-being,” he remarked.
The book Guru Gita With Commentary explores the timeless teachings of the Guru Gita and simplifies intricate spiritual concepts for seekers from all backgrounds. The sacred scripture underscores the significance of a true Guru and serves as a guide for individuals striving for spiritual growth.
The event reinforced the idea that India’s path to becoming a Vishwaguru lies not only in economic and technological advancements but also in the preservation and propagation of its spiritual heritage.
