AI Skill Training Course: Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, unveiled the launch of AI for India 2.0, a comprehensive online training program on Artificial Intelligence, on World Youth Skills’ Day.
Developed as a collaborative effort between Skill India and GUVI, this esteemed online program is accredited by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and IIT Madras, aiming to equip young individuals with cutting-edge skills.
During the inauguration, Pradhan emphasized the importance of breaking down language barriers in the field of technology. He called for the inclusion of technology courses in various Indian languages, recognizing the significance of such initiatives in empowering the youth. By bridging the language gap in technology education, he stated that it would ensure the future-proofing of India’s young talent, particularly those residing in rural areas.

GUVI, a startup incubated at IIT Madras, is a technology platform that facilitates tech learning in vernacular languages. As part of the AI for India 2.0 program, GUVI has meticulously curated content in nine major Indian languages, ensuring that language diversity is celebrated and learning opportunities are extended to all.
