After nearly five months in orbit, the astronauts of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 will reflect on their mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) during a live news conference scheduled for 4:15 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, August 20. The event will take place at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and will also stream live on the agency’s YouTube channel.
Crew members Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers of NASA, along with Takuya Onishi of JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), are set to answer questions about their work in space. The trio returned to Earth on August 9 following 146 days aboard the ISS.
During their mission, the astronauts logged more than 62 million miles and completed 2,368 orbits around the planet. They carried out hundreds of scientific experiments and technology demonstrations designed to improve life on Earth and prepare for future missions deeper into the solar system.
Members of the media can participate in person or virtually. Reporters attending in Houston must confirm with NASA’s Johnson newsroom by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, while those joining by phone must dial in at least 10 minutes before the briefing begins. Social media users can submit questions using the hashtag #AskNASA.
The Crew-10 mission was part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, which partners with American aerospace companies to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation to the ISS. This initiative has expanded opportunities for international collaboration, scientific research, and commercial ventures in low Earth orbit.
For nearly 25 years, the International Space Station has hosted continuous human presence, enabling groundbreaking discoveries and testing technologies that will help pave the way for future missions to the Moon and Mars.
