Delhi Book Fair Begins at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

A five- day book bonanza, the 28th edition of Delhi Book Fair (August 07 to 11, 2024) along with its allied events inaugurated by CA Rajat Agarwal, IAS, Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), in Hall No 12A & 12, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Thematic Conference on ‘Global Influence of Indian Books.”

The fair commenced with another popular events i.e. Stationery Fair, Office Automation & Corporate Gift Fair which are among the added attractions.  Present on occasion were Naveen Gupta, President, FIP, Hema Maity, General Manager, ITPO, Pranav Gupta, General Secretary and Dr. Ashok Gupta, Hony. Treasure, FIP, Senior Govt. Officials, academicians, participants and media persons. FIP is the co-organizer of Delhi Book Fair.

In his inaugural address, Rajat Agarwal, ED, ITPO expressed his happiness over the participation response. He hoped that the next edition would be organized with enhanced exhibitor response. He said that the book fair has special place for ITPO as its connects with the youth, the future of the country. The organization is striving to achieve excellence in performance as well as professionalism. He asked the team ITPO to take feedback from visiting students to make the event better and meaningful for them in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Gupta, President, FIP, complimented ITPO for holding Delhi Book Fair and its allied events with improved facilities. Covering an area of over 1500 sqmtrs in Hall no. 12 & 12A, more than 90 leading companies have been taking part. Prominent among those are publication Division, the Ministry of Information Govt. of India, Sahitya Academy, Gorakhpur Gita Press, Rupa Publication, etc.

This year the theme of fair is: ‘Global Influence of Indian Books”, in this context, an exclusive national conference is scheduled to be held at 2:30 pm August  09,  2024, the conference will be organized by FIP, ISOLS Group with active support of ITPO.

Delhi Book Fair and its allied events provide ideal opportunity for business expansion, brand promotion and image building. The fair provides an ideal platform for B2B transaction, networking entering into co-publishing arrangements, translation and copy right, reprinting old books apart from retail opportunities to the participants. This edition of the event has an added significance as it coincides with the Independence Day 2024 celebrations. 

Along with extensive publicity through print, electronic and social media, a number of promotional programmes such as conference, workshops, painting competitions etc. will make the event more meaningful for the participants as well as visitors. The exhibitors profile covers – publishers, sellers and distributors of books, periodicals and magazines, teaching aids and computer software. Gift items etc., while visitor profile covers national and international publishers, librarians, researchers, academicians, writers, dealers and traders, students and general public.

The Fair is open 10:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. The entry is from Gate No.10 (Supreme Court Metro Station Site).
