The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 kicked off with great enthusiasm as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. Emphasizing India’s growing prominence, Prime Minister Modi stated that the country has become the 5th largest economy globally, a significant leap from the 11th position a decade ago. He asserted that India is poised to become one of the top 3 economies in the world in the coming years. The Prime Minister highlighted India’s role as a ‘Vishwa Mitra’ (Global Friend), contributing to global stability, welfare, and growth.
Focus on Development and Investment
Discussing the priorities for India’s development, the Prime Minister outlined key sectors, including sustainable industries, manufacturing, infrastructure, new age skills, futuristic technologies, AI, innovation, green hydrogen, and renewable energy. He urged participants to visit the trade show in Gujarat, showcasing products in E-Mobility, Start-Ups, Blue Economy, Green Energy, and Smart Infrastructure, creating opportunities for investment.
PM Modi underscored the government’s focus on structural reforms, highlighting the resilience and momentum of the Indian economy. He pointed to achievements such as recapitalization, ease of business through compliance reduction, GST implementation, FDI liberalization, and significant investment in infrastructure and green energy.

The Prime Minister emphasized that transformations in India are improving the Ease of Living and empowering people. He noted a significant reduction in poverty, a rise in the middle-class income, and increased female workforce participation. PM Modi encouraged investors to be part of India’s journey, leveraging new possibilities across the country.
