In a remarkable demonstration of nationwide enthusiasm, the 7th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Interaction Programme, “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024,” has seen an overwhelming registration of over 1 crore participants on the MyGov portal. The unique initiative, conceptualized by Prime Minister Modi, aims to provide a platform for students, teachers, and parents to engage in meaningful discussions about the challenges associated with examinations and life beyond school.
Pariksha Pe Charcha has successfully convened for the past six years, organized by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education. This year’s event is scheduled for January 29, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, in a town-hall format, commencing at 11 am. Approximately 4000 participants, including two students and a teacher from each State and Union Territory, along with winners of the Kala Utsav and Veer Gatha competitions, may join the Prime Minister in this interactive program.
A notable component of this initiative is the ongoing online multiple-choice question (MCQ) competition on the MyGov portal, open to students (classes 6th to 12th), teachers, and parents. As of January 5, 2024, over 90 lakh students, more than 8 lakh teachers, and around 2 lakh parents have already registered for the competition, underlining the widespread interest and participation.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an integral part of the larger ‘Exam Warriors’ movement spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The movement strives to create a stress-free environment for youngsters by fostering collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and society. At its core is the philosophy outlined in the Prime Minister’s bestselling book, ‘Exam Warriors.’
As a prelude to the main event, a series of engaging activities will be conducted at the school level from January 12, 2024, Youth Day, until January 23, 2024. These activities, including a marathon run, music competition, meme competition, nukkad natak, student-anchor-student-guest discussions, etc., are designed to promote joyful learning experiences. On the final day, January 23, 2024, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a Painting Competition will be held in 500 districts across the country. The topics will range from Chandrayan to India’s sporting achievements, showcasing examinations as a celebration of life.
A total of 2050 participants will be selected based on their questions posted on the MyGov portal. These individuals will be honored with a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit, which includes the Prime Minister’s book, ‘Exam Warriors,’ in Hindi and English, along with a certificate. This initiative continues to inspire and reinforce the unique individuality of each child, aligning with the broader vision of creating a stress-free and encouraging educational environment.
