Bollywood’s power couple Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The news broke late Tuesday night and was quickly confirmed by the couple through a heartfelt social media post. Both mother and daughter are reported to be in good health.
The announcement came just days after the actors were spotted outside a Mumbai clinic, accompanied by their mothers, sparking speculation that the baby’s arrival was imminent. On Wednesday, the couple shared a pink-themed note on Instagram that read, “Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl.” The message was accompanied by heart, evil eye, and folded hands emojis and signed “Kiara and Sidharth.”
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the arrival of the newest member of the Malhotra-Advani family. Many recalled Sidharth expressing his wish to be a “girl dad,” a sentiment he had once shared with his mother, Rimma Malhotra.
The couple had announced their pregnancy in February with a coordinated Instagram post featuring a pair of tiny baby socks. “The greatest gift of our lives,” they wrote at the time, along with baby and heart emojis. While the due date was never revealed, Kiara made a high-profile appearance at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, proudly showcasing her baby bump on the red carpet.
Kiara and Sidharth got married in February 2023 in a private ceremony held at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The couple began dating in 2020 and starred together in the 2021 film Shershaah, which marked a turning point in both their personal and professional lives.
On the work front, Kiara Advani will next be seen in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The film is scheduled to release on August 14. Sidharth Malhotra will appear opposite Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari, which is set to hit cinemas on October 10.
