The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate examinations scheduled for 3 and 4 September 2025 in select centres across Punjab and Jammu City.
The decision, announced on 2 September, comes as several regions in Punjab and Jammu grapple with heavy rainfall and flooding, disrupting normal life and raising concerns over the safe conduct of the exams.
Centres Affected
The postponement applies only to specific examination centres in:
- Amritsar
- Bathinda
- Jalandhar
- Ludhiana
- Mandi Gobindgarh
- Pathankot
- Patiala
- Sangrur
- Jammu City
Examinations in all other regions of the country will proceed as per the original schedule issued by ICAI on 30 May 2025.
Revised Dates Yet to Be Announced
ICAI has clarified that new dates for the affected exams will be communicated soon. Candidates have been advised to keep track of updates through the Institute’s official website, www.icai.org.
What Remains Unchanged
Apart from the rescheduling in the listed centres, all other details, including exam structure and venue arrangements, remain unchanged.
Students are urged to stay alert to official announcements as the Institute works to reschedule exams in the flood-affected areas while ensuring that the rest of the examination process continues smoothly across the country.
