Global ESG Conclave 2.0
July 26, 2023
The risk and potential landscape for corporations across industries has changed substantially in an increasingly connected world. Over the last two decades, tremendous technology changes and calamities have altered how stakeholders assess the resilience and sustainability of enterprises. To acquire a holistic perspective of the value a firm may create over time, the current methodology looks far beyond standard financial measurements.
Given the contemporary context of rising social inequalities, an unparalleled health crisis, mounting economic ramifications, a global climate crisis, and the acceleration of environmental degradation, company performance on ESG criteria has emerged as a significant evaluation parameter.
While the private sector plays an important role, governments around the world must do more to build a legal environment conducive to the development of ESG Goals. Sustainability and green development are increasingly priority sectors, and it is projected that green financing will increase steadily, despite challenges such as global uncertainty and capital leaving the economy.
Given this, organisational strategy is now inextricably linked to the priorities of climate change, decarbonization, ethical supply chain, circular economy, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), with a solid foundation of good governance and supported by a robust ESG framework, measurement, reporting, and assurance.
In this context, with the theme ‘Putting ESG into Practise & Measuring its Impact’, ASSOCHAM is presenting its flagship event on ‘Global ESG Conclave’ on 26 July 2023 in Dubai-UAE.
The conclave will feature thought leaders from industry and government, with the goal of facilitating conversation, debate, and sharing of perspectives on E, S, and G transformation. This effort will bring together various voices from governments, investors, rating agencies, global think tanks, business owners, and business executives to discuss relevant topics, recognise excellent practises in ESG, and impact change.
