Logistics and supply chain management play a crucial role in India’s economy owing to the country’s vast geographic spread and diverse market demands. The efficient movement of goods and services across the nation is essential for sustained economic growth and development.
Given the significant contribution of the sector to the country’s GDP and promotion of international trade and export, an efficient, well-developed and integrated logistics and supply chain network is crucial to ensure smooth flow of goods across borders, reduce trade barriers and enable businesses to access global markets.
The industry is glad that the Government of India has successfully introduced PM Gati Shakti Plan to reduce the disruptions and challenges being faced by the sector and gradually bring down the logistics costs in India to make Indian industry and its products globally competitive.
To take these initiatives forward, ASSOCHAM is organising “Gati Shakti-Boosting Connectivity for New India – Summit & Excellence Awards – Logistics – Supply Chain – Warehousing on Friday at 9.30 a.m. on July 28, 2023, at Hotel Shangri-La in New Delhi to discuss the important aspects, issues, and updates on logistics, supply chain and warehousing and boost the efficiency of the supply chain sector in India.
The Summit aims to bring together various stakeholders involved in logistics and supply chain management across government departments, PSUs, state governments, and private organizations and share the best practices and discuss the challenges and suggestions.
