Fans of Disney magic can soon enjoy the studio’s latest live-action remake, Snow White, from the comfort of home. The film, a modern reimagining of the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, stars Rachel Zegler in the lead role and is directed by Marc Webb. Though Disney has yet to confirm a streaming date for Disney+, home viewing options are already expanding.
According to Variety, the digital version of Snow White is now available for purchase on Amazon for $29.99 or for rental at $24.99. A physical release featuring 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats is scheduled for June 24. This home edition comes packed with bonus features including a sing-along mode, behind-the-scenes featurettes, deleted scenes, and bloopers.
The film introduces a fresh take on the iconic fairy tale, blending inspiration from both the Brothers Grimm story and Disney’s animated legacy. Gal Gadot plays the Evil Queen in a darker, more nuanced portrayal, while Zegler brings new depth to the character of Snow White. The supporting cast includes Andrew Barth Feldman, Tituss Burgess, Martin Klebba, and Jeremy Swift as the voices of the seven dwarfs.
In addition to honoring classic songs from the original, the movie features newly composed music that aligns with its updated narrative. The screenplay, penned by Erin Cressida Wilson, aims to balance fantasy elements with emotional storytelling.
Disney also plans to release a Snow White 2-Movie Collection, pairing the 2024 live-action adaptation with the original 1937 animated film. The bundle will be available in multiple formats and resolutions for collectors and new fans alike.
While viewers await a confirmed streaming release on Disney+, past trends suggest the film could be available on the platform by late June 2025. For now, audiences can revisit the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which remains available to stream on Disney+.
