A training programme on the “Rashtriya Karmyogi Jan Seva Programme” was successfully organised at the ICAR–Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR-RCER), Patna, on January 9, 2025.
The programme comprised four well-structured modules focusing on key aspects of public service, highlighting how every action, big or small, impacts citizens. The training was not merely an academic exercise but aimed at bringing a shift in perspective, rooted in the core values of Seva Bhaav and Svadharma. An evaluation was conducted at the end of the programme to assess participants’ learning outcomes and their understanding of the modules covered.
The Chief Guest, Dr Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana, in his address, emphasised that effective public service requires continuous learning, integrity, and a strong commitment to citizens’ welfare. He stated that the Rashtriya Karmyogi Jan Seva Programme is a significant initiative aimed at transforming the mindset, skills, and professionalism of public servants to meet emerging governance challenges.
Dr Anup Das, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna, said that with strong willpower, dedication, and a genuine desire to serve society, even the most challenging goals can be achieved. He underscored the importance of continuous learning and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the training in their day-to-day work. He further remarked that the most difficult part of any journey is not starting it; once the first step is taken, everything becomes possible.
The training programme was coordinated by Dr P. C. Chandran, Co-Chairman, and Dr Rohan Kumar Raman and Dr Saurabh Kumar, Course Directors. Technical assistance for the smooth conduct of the programme was provided by Anil Kumar, Vijay Babu Ram, and Gautam Ranjan.
The programme witnessed the active participation of 42 participants, who were awarded online certificates upon successful completion of the training, informed Umesh Kumar Mishra, Member Secretary (Media), ICAR-RCER, Patna.
