The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially released the results for the much-awaited School Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025 for Classes XI and XII Assistant Teacher recruitment. The announcement marks a significant milestone in the state’s education sector, paving the way to fill 35,726 Assistant Teacher posts in government-aided schools across West Bengal. Of these, 12,514 positions are allotted for higher secondary (Classes XI–XII) level.
According to WBSSC, a total of 2,46,543 candidates applied for the higher secondary level examination, including 3,120 specially-abled applicants. Out of these, 2,29,606 candidates appeared for the exam, which was held on September 14, 2025, across 478 examination centres statewide.
Candidates can now access the WBSSC SLST 2025 results on the official website — westbengalssc.com. The results have been published in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of candidates who successfully cleared the written examination and are now eligible for the interview stage.
Steps to Check WBSSC SLST 2025 Result
- Visit the official website: westbengalssc.com.
- Click on “WBSSC SLST Result 2025 (Assistant Teacher).”
- Open the PDF file and use the Ctrl + F function to find your roll number.
- Download and save the document for future reference.
The document verification process for qualified candidates is expected to commence in the third week of November 2025, followed by the release of the preliminary interview list. The final merit list will be compiled based on candidates’ overall performance in both the written test and interview round.
During the verification phase, selected candidates will be required to present their original educational certificates, mark sheets, and valid identification documents. Final appointments will be confirmed after successful verification of all documents.
Meanwhile, the WBSSC has also initiated the application process for the SLST 1-Stage Recruitment Exam to fill 8,477 non-teaching positions under Group C and Group D categories. This includes 2,989 clerk posts and 5,488 Group D vacancies. The examination for these posts is tentatively scheduled for January 2026, with detailed dates to be announced shortly.
