More than 55 companies are set to announce their September quarter (Q2 FY26) financial results today, October 16. Throughout this week, over 200 listed firms were scheduled to release their quarterly earnings, marking a crucial phase of the corporate results season.
Among the major names declaring their results today are Infosys, Wipro, Nestle India, Jio Financial Services, LTIMindtree, Eternal, Waaree Energies, and Metro Brands. Investors are keenly watching the numbers from the IT and FMCG sectors, which are expected to provide key insights into India’s consumption and digital growth trends.
On Wednesday, Axis Bank reported a 26% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹5,090 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to ₹6,918 crore in the same period last year. The fall was largely attributed to higher provisions for non-performing assets (NPAs).
According to brokerage firm Elara Capital, Q2 FY26 is expected to mark the beginning of an earnings upcycle. The firm projects a 12.5% year-on-year rise in profit after tax (PAT) for its coverage universe — the first double-digit growth in six quarters. “Margin expansion and lower input costs indicate strong operating leverage. Alongside tax cuts and expected monetary easing, these factors support a multi-quarter earnings recovery,” Elara noted.
