Deadline Ends Today for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 Registrations

The last date to register for the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 is today, October 6, and students from Classes 6 to 12 still have the opportunity to apply through the official website — vbb.mic.gov.in.

Launched on October 4 by the Union Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog, the nationwide initiative aims to encourage school students to ideate and create innovative solutions aligned with the vision of a developed India.

Themes for 2025

According to the Education Ministry, this year’s Buildathon will revolve around four broad themes:

  1. Atmanirbhar Bharat – promoting self-reliant systems and technologies.
  2. Swadeshi – encouraging indigenous innovation and ideas.
  3. Vocal for Local – supporting local crafts, products, and resources.
  4. Samriddhi – fostering prosperity and sustainable growth.

How to Participate

Students can register through their respective schools. Each team must consist of five to seven members, and schools can submit multiple teams. Entries can be submitted in the form of concepts, working models, or prototypes, supported by photographs or videos.

Participation is free of cost, and all students taking part in the challenge will receive digital participation certificates from the Ministry of Education. Teachers will act as mentors, guiding student teams throughout the competition.

A national jury of experts will evaluate submissions based on feasibility, innovation, and social impact.

The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 aims to spark creativity among young innovators, empowering them to contribute ideas that can shape India’s journey toward a self-reliant and prosperous future.
