Panic briefly gripped parts of Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning after several prominent schools received bomb threat emails, leading to swift intervention by law enforcement agencies. The alerts prompted immediate precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students, teachers and staff.

According to the Ahmedabad Police, four educational institutions were targeted in the incident — Maharaja Agrasen School, DAV International School, Zydus School and Zebar School. The threatening messages were reportedly sent via email directly to the school administrations, raising concerns of a coordinated hoax or malicious attempt.

Soon after the threats were reported, local police teams, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDS) and the Crime Branch, rushed to the campuses. As a safety measure, students and staff were evacuated, and the premises were cordoned off while thorough anti-sabotage checks were conducted.

Officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosive materials have been found at any of the schools so far. However, security checks continued for several hours to rule out any potential risk.

Police have registered cases and launched an investigation to trace the origin of the emails. Cybercrime experts are examining technical details, including IP addresses and email servers, to identify those responsible for triggering the scare.

Authorities have urged parents and the public to remain calm, assuring that the situation is under control and that all necessary steps are being taken to safeguard educational institutions. Further action will be taken once the source of the threats is identified.
