The 42nd edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) commenced with grandeur on Tuesday at the recently inaugurated Bharat Mandapam. The annual event, organized by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), aims to provide extensive business prospects for over 3,500 exhibitors, both domestic and international.
The India International Trade Fair remains a significant platform for government organizations to enlighten the public about their programs and policies, making it a melting pot of ideas and opportunities for participants and visitors alike.
A Theme of Unity: ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: United by Trade’
This year’s theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: United by Trade,’ draws inspiration from ancient Indian philosophy. Emphasizing the significance of interconnectedness and cooperation in trade, the theme underscores the pursuit of sustainable growth and well-being through global collaboration.
This theme not only echoes India’s ancient wisdom but also signifies its strength across various sectors, perspectives, and opinions on key socioeconomic issues. Additionally, it provides a platform to shape global economic policies by fostering international collaboration.
International Participation at IITF 2023
Representatives from 13 countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt, Nepal, Thailand, Türkiye, Vietnam, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Iran, and the UAE, are actively participating in the fair, fostering international dialogue and cooperation.
Delhi Pavilion: A Showcase of Heritage at IITF
The fair will feature a dedicated Delhi Pavilion, focusing on the Capital’s rich heritage. The pavilion will highlight three key aspects: tourism potential, cultural corridor, and industrial corridor, providing visitors with a comprehensive glimpse into the heart of India.
Massive Footfall Expected
Anticipating a daily footfall of over 10 lakh visitors, the event will run until November 27, from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Tickets for the fair are available online and offline at selected Metro stations.

The India International Trade Fair (IITF) commenced on November 14 and will continue until November 27. Entry timings are from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.

The 13-day extravaganza will be hosted in the newly constructed halls of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) and the existing halls at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
